Verve, Kings Of Leon, Amy Winehouse for V Festival Staffordshire day one

The Verve are set to headline the V Stage tonight (August 16) at the Staffordshire leg of the V Festival � the first night of the bash.


The band are set to flirt after performances from Kings Of Leon, Amy Winehouse, Lenny Kravitz, The Feeling and Girls Aloud.


Before the aforementioned acts of the Apostles play The Stranglers are set to kick off proceedings on the stage, followed by Squeeze.

The Verve will be going head-to-head with Kaiser Chiefs, world Health Organization are scheduled to headline the 4music stage at the like time as their set.


The Leeds band will be playing afterwards The Zutons, The View and Reverend And The Makers.


Elsewhere on the land site The Chemical Brothers headline the JJB Arena after The Charlatans and Hot Chip.

Guillemots are set to headline the Virgin Mobile Union collapsible shelter after Echo And The Bunnymen and Young Knives, with Goldie Lookin Chain and Noah and the Whale as well set to play in the tent.
